Voice Analysis Software for Speech-Language Pathologists
Vocametrix is an online voice analysis platform for speech-language pathologists. It records the patient in the browser, computes the standard acoustic voice measures with Praat on the server, and gathers them in a report you can hand over. There is no software to install and no script to maintain.

The guided voice assessment asks for a sustained /a/, a sustained /s/, a sustained /z/ and a short read text (in French), each up to 30 seconds. From them it computes F0, jitter, shimmer, HNR, CPPS, GNE, H1-H2, maximum phonation time, the S/Z ratio and AVQI. The VHI-10 or VHI-30, GRBAS and CAPE-V that you or the patient fill in are added to the same report, which exports as a Word or PDF document.
Measures you can check
Every measure is computed by Praat 6.4.60 with fixed settings. Each value is shown with the reference it is compared to and that reference's level of evidence; when no validated cutoff exists, the value is shown without a verdict. The methods page lists every Praat command and setting.
A quick check when time is short
The quick voice check needs only a held vowel and one read sentence, and returns the acoustic measures in a single report, without the full assessment form.
One calculator per measure
When you only need one value, each measure also has its own calculator.
Recording that leaves the voice alone
The browser records in mono at 48 kHz with echo cancellation, noise suppression and automatic gain control turned off, because these processes alter the voice. You can also upload an existing recording.
Pricing
Access to the site is a monthly subscription. Every account starts with a 7-day trial once its email address is verified, with no card required.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install Praat?
No. Praat runs on the Vocametrix server; you work entirely in the browser.
What do I get at the end of an assessment?
A report with every measure, the reference it is compared to and the questionnaires, which you can export as a Word or PDF document.
Is there an API for developers?
Yes. The REST API is a separate product, paid with credit packs and documented on the API page. The site subscription does not include API credits.
